Senior Java Developer

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, support, debug and test complex software solutions.
  • Lead or significantly contribute to medium-to-large feature releases; usually multi-person projects that cross engineering team boundaries.
  • Develop and support code quality solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with members of other teams throughout the release cycle.
  • Gathering and reviewing requirements.
  • Code Review.
  • Contribute to defining strategic direction, planning the roadmap, escalating issues, and synthesizing feedback to ensure team success.
  • Estimate and manage project timelines and risks.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders including customers, product managers, cross-functional partners, and external partners.

Your Skills

Must have

General:

  • English: Fluent in Text & Speech
  • Skillful communication competence

Technical:

  • 4+ years of commerical experience in backend development
  • Java/Spring Boot and the typical libraries for API development
  • PostgreSQL
  • Experience in planning and creating REST APIs
  • Git
  • Energy and commitment to create a good product
  • Interest to improve and learn continuously
  • Passionate about trying out new technologies

Nice to have

  • Language skills: German
  • Experience in AWS, OpenAPI/Swagger, Terraform, Gitlab CICD, Angular, Linux
  • Kotlin - it’s really easy to learn if you’re coming from Java!
