Senior IT Project Manager

What your tasks will be

  • Manage the entire project lifecycle from planning and execution to delivery and post-launch support ensuring delivery on time, within budget and scope.
  • Work closely with clients to gather, define, and document project requirements.
  • Estimate effort and budget projects based on client needs and technical constraints.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining clear and professional communication throughout the project.
  • Coordinate tasks, resources and timelines across cross-functional teams.
  • Track progress, manage deadlines and project milestones and ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Lead discussions and negotiate timelines, scope and costs with customers when necessary.
  • Organize and facilitate project meetings and workshops with both clients and internal teams.
  • Monitor progress, milestones, and risks. Take proactive steps to resolve issues and maintain momentum and alignment.
  • Evaluate completed projects, gather feedback and contribute to process improvements.

What skills we are looking for

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Senior IT Project Manager managing complex, cross-functional projects from concept to delivery.
  • Strong background in requirements engineering, with the ability to gather, define and budget client requirements into clear project roadmaps.
  • A confident communicator who can advise customers, navigate negotiations and act as a trusted point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Deep understanding of both classic (waterfall) and agile project methodologies and when to use them.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage project resources and optimize team performance.
  • Hands-on experience managing project budgets and resource planning.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proactive mindset, entrepreneurial attitude and a knack for turning challenges into solutions.
  • Experience working in bilingual (German/English) project environments is required you must be fluent in both languages.
  • Certifications in project management (IPMA, PMI, Scrum, etc.) are a plus.
